This AI Avatar Tool “Deep Faked” My Face (Useful or Scary?)

In this video, I show you how to create an AI Avatar using Synthesia IO.

(And it's not as hard as you may think.)

Personally, I was quite mindblown when I saw these avatars in real life.

Just a few years ago, it took enormous amounts of time to create anything like this. On strong computers that had to render overnight.

Now, you can film yourself with a webcam, wait a while, and type in anything you want your new clone to say "on camera."

Being a huge fan of content creation, I salute everything that helps you make videos more easily.

And no, this isn't going to replace you or your camera anytime soon. But—for internal use, for eLearning, and for prototyping content, I think generative media tools like Synthesia are amazing.
