Educators in 2022 must be able to produce content. A modern educator is a content creator. But it's hard to create content from scratch, right?
Well, you don't have to. With cool tools like Vyond, you can turn your old materials into animation videos, for example.
All it takes is your PowerPoint slides exported as .pptx. Then, you find an animation tool that can handle this file format.
What it does is that it turns all the PowerPoint assets into animation assets—ready to give Enter effects, Motion Paths, and much more.
In the video above, I show you a 3-step process for how to turn static slides into dynamic video.
I do it in less than 60 minutes, and I think the result is pretty solid:
Admittedly, this is not a Grammy winner, for sure.
But how powerful is it to revive your old presentations and convert them into animation videos, you can use to teach online?
How awesome is it to NOT develop new materials, but reuse all the good thoughts and structures, you've already created in the past?
And how freeing is it to be able to teach your topics online, digitally, instead of having to do it in person?
That's an amazing way to get back your time.
I salute Vyond for creating this feature.

I understand it's still in "beta", and I can see why: most of the converted assets don't fit with Vyond's own.
So you have to do a bit of work on getting your fonts back, replacing assets that couldn't be matched to anything, and other small tweaks—before you get to the fun part: the animation.
As an educator who wants to develop engaging educational content, this way of getting your feet wet is so powerful.
The hardest part is getting started. And most new tools have a steep learning curve.
So get to it—sign up for Vyond and start uploading your old PowerPoint presentations.
